3.2 Approaches to Network Configuration
PakBus routing and buffering capabilities make possible multiple network
topologies. For example, if an RF400 is used to communicate with a
datalogger, which in turn communicates (through the same RF400) with more
distant dataloggers, there are at least three basic ways to configure the network.
Which model is best for your situation depends in part on your data collection
and power budget requirements. The following trade-offs exist:
one large file
faster data collection
larger remote power budgets
a file for each station
slower data collection
smaller remote power budgets
